ACTION ALERT!!

ISLAMIST TERRORISTS DO NOT DESERVE THE
SAME JUDICIAL RIGHTS AS U.S. CITIZENS!

TELL YOUR U.S. REPRESENTATIVES THAT THE
TRIALS OF THESE TERRORISTS BELONG IN
MILITARY COURTS, NOT IN FEDERAL COURTS!!

By Lisa Piraneo, Director of Government Relations

On September 11, 2001, an act of war was committed against our great nation. Thousands of lives were brutally taken in New York, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania due to a carefully planned attack by radical Islamists. Afterward, the nation was united and spoke with one voice—not as Republicans or Democrats, not as members of a particular religion, but as Americans: We vowed never to forget this. We vowed never to allow this to happen to us again.

Unfortunately, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is about to make a mockery of these events, dishonoring each individual who perished on that horrific day as well as the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces.

The Attorney General has decided that instead of trying Islamic terrorists in Military courts, they should be tried in Federal (Article III) courts, thereby providing them the same judicial protections afforded to you and me. This decision is not only a bad one, it is potentially catastrophic. Bringing these detainees—the “rock stars” of the terrorist world—to a city they have repeatedly attacked invites more attacks on that city—and perhaps other cities around the country. In addition, providing the self-proclaimed “mastermind” of the 9/11 attacks and his co-conspirators the same constitutional rights in court that U.S. citizens enjoy assures that it will be America that is put on trial, not the terrorists. This should be unacceptable to every American.

A Kick-off in New York: This past Saturday, a rally was held in New York City to express the people’s outrage with the Attorney General’s decision. The voices of New Yorkers and Americans from all over the nation were heard loud and clear as they told the Attorney General, “We will fight you all the way,” on your decision to relocate Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other terrorists from the Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility to a Federal court in New York—just BLOCKS away from Ground Zero.

The American people have not forgotten the horrors of 9/11. Have the Administration and Congress forgotten?

Let your voice be heard in remembrance of this historic day. Today, Monday, December 7th, is Pearl Harbor Day….another day our nation was attacked by an enemy of the time. We need you, our grassroots members, to let your voice be heard in remembrance of this historic day—to honor all those killed not only on December 7, 1941, but also on September 11, 2001, and for every member of our military who dies on the battlefield in the Middle East.

We need you to contact your representatives in the U.S. Congress and say “NO” to federal court trials for Islamic terrorists. Say “NO” to making a mockery of our nation’s judicial system. Say “NO” to affording these killers the same judicial rights as U.S. citizens.

Many, many Americans are rightfully angry about this. ACT! for America is working along with Keep America Safe, the Center for Security Policy, the 911 Coalition to Never Forget, 911 Families for a Safe and Strong America, various state Tea Party organizations, and others to see that the Attorney General’s decision with regard to terrorist trials is stopped.

Congress MUST act on this matter. They CAN block the Attorney General’s decision. They MUST block his decision. As a constituent you have the power to see that this action is taken, but there is not much time.

THE FOLLOWING ACTION IS NEEDED FROM YOU, OUR ACT!
FOR AMERICA GRASSROOTS ADVOCATE—ASAP!

  1. Organize a small group (2 or 3) to visit the local office of your U.S. Representative and Senator. This is a wonderful opportunity to establish or continue a relationship with those who represent you. Respectfully encourage them to keep Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his associates out of our country and out of our civilian courts.
