Two Chapter Leaders Share Their Perspectives Join them at a private breakfast reception with Brigitte Gabriel Last year ACT! for America held its first Legislative Briefing in Washington, DC. This was a pilot program and as a chapter leader I was invited to attend. I couldn’t be there—and when I found out what I missed, I promised myself I wouldn’t miss the next one. That’s why I’m attending ACT! for America’s 2010 National Conference and Legislative Briefing, and I’m urging you to join me. I know without a doubt the program will be great. The speakers will be great. I’ve been told Brigitte Gabriel will make a major announcement at the Gala Dinner. I am so looking forward to being part of what I missed last year. But more than that, this is our chance to build connections to each other. To get beyond email. To meet with Members of Congress and show them who we are and why we’re concerned about the threat of radical Islam. We must show up to be counted as the patriots that we are! It is time. Time to meet together and draw strength and vision from each other. If you’ve ever attended an event where this has happened, you know what I’m talking about. There is simply no substitute for a time of coming together in a shared mission. Please join Brigitte Gabriel, our conference speakers, and other ACT! for America members and chapter leaders like me at this important event, taking place in our nation’s capital just days before we celebrate our national independence. Beth G., chapter leader
I was thrilled to be able to participate in last year’s legislative briefing. Being on Capitol Hill and meeting Members of Congress who clearly understood the threat we face was encouraging beyond words. So often it’s tempting to feel like we’re alone in this fight. We’re not. For me, the very best part of the conference was meeting others who shared my commitment to ACT! for America. Many of us met together late each night to discuss what we were doing in our communities, sharing ideas and strategies for fighting this evil known as radical Islam. But as serious as this topic is, we had a great time! I went home with a fresh perspective, many new friends, and a renewed belief that we can and we will defeat radical Islam. I wouldn’t miss this year’s conference for the world. Bottom line? It is absolutely worth the time and money to attend. Susan W., chapter leader
