What the Founders fought
for is under attack
In three days we in America celebrate the 1776 adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
237 years later, one of the core freedoms our founding fathers fought for, freedom of speech, is under attack.
Recently, ACT! for America Executive Director Guy Rodgers was interviewed for the Stakelbeck on Terror program. He discussed the growing global assault by Islamists on free speech and the ways in which our own government is assisting this.
You can view the ten minute interview below.
Those who signed the Declaration of Independence pledged their “lives,” “fortunes,” and “sacred honor.” Many of them paid such a price for their stand for liberty in the face of England, the most powerful nation in the world at that time.
We can honor their legacy by fighting to protect our First Amendment right of free speech.
If you haven’t already done so, please SIGN OUR OPEN LETTER TO CONGRESS AND THE 50 STATE LEGISLATURES opposing the implementation of UN Resolution 16/18, and forward it to others you know.
And please check out our plans for September 25th, “Freedom of Speech Day,” the 224th anniversary of congressional ratification of the Bill of Rights.
