"Black Friday"
by Brigitte Gabriel

The title of this email is not referring to a terrorist attack or a stock market crash! It refers to what has become a uniquely American tradition, the all-out "assault" on stores by millions of shoppers in the wee hours of the morning on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

My home country of Lebanon does not have such a tradition. My mother took me to the store one week before Christmas and bought me a pair of winter shoes and an outfit for church which would be my Sunday attire for the remainder of winter. I would place my new clothes and pair of shoes next to my bed and look at them waiting for Christmas day to be able to wear them. That was the extent of our holiday gift giving.

Now, I'm sure you're wondering why I'm writing this to you. I'm asking you to do some of your holiday "shopping" with ACT! For America.

Last week I emailed you to tell you about our special holiday offer. ACT! for America is making available autographed copies of my latest book, They Must Be Stopped, for contribution amounts as much as 60% less than anything we've ever offered before. It will make a great Chanukah or Christmas gift.

By taking advantage of this special offer, you help us help you. You give the unique gift of knowledge that will open the eyes of those special people in your lives - and you help us prepare to meet the challenges facing us in 2009 that I talked to you about last week.

If you have already responded to this offer, thank you, thank you, thank you!

If you haven't, I'm asking you to please do so today, either online or by printing out a reply form to mail with your check. I want to particularly appeal to you if you have never responded to a request for financial support. ACT! for America needs you!

For a $50 contribution we'll send you one autographed copy of my book. That's half what we normally offer this for.

For a $90 contribution we'll send you two autographed copies.

And for a $125 contribution we'll send you three autographed copies. That's nearly 60% less than what we normally offer this for.

If you read my emails from last week you saw some of the successes we've had and the plans we have for tackling the challenges of 2009. But there's so much more.

I wish you could see the hope and excitement on the faces of our members who have been attending our "Citizens in Action" conferences. In our most recent conference we started five new local chapters, and dozens of people made contributions to our efforts.

We've had over 1,500 people sign up on our website to be members in just the past couple of weeks. Kelly Cook, our National Field Director, tells me we'll add twice as many new chapters this month compared to the last six months.

I wish you could hear the heartfelt thanks we are getting from key members of Congress. How different this is from September 2007, when several members of Congress expressed grave concern to me that there was no grassroots organization making its voice heard in Washington on the issue of the threat of radical Islam!

We are making incredible progress, but if we're going to successfully tackle the challenges of issues like Shariah-compliant finance, it's going to take more grassroots power than we have now. That's why we need hundreds of you who have never made a contribution, or haven't done so in a while, to respond to our special holiday appeal today.

All you have to do is click here to make your contribution online.

Or click here to print out a reply form to mail in with your check.

If you can't send a $50 contribution at this time, make a contribution of $15 and I'll rush you our eye-catching ACT! for America lapel pin.

I know you understand what's at stake, or you wouldn't be receiving our emails. Unfortunately, most of our fellow Americans don't recognize the threat. That means that it's up to those of us who do to act. As President Ronald Reagan once asked... "If not us, who? If not now, when?"

I appeal to your generosity and patriotism. Together, we can build on our successes of 2008 and be empowered for even greater victories in 2009.

Always devoted,

Brigitte Gabriel
