Recent News from ACT! for America

Just weeks into his new position, Abouabdalla is already being hailed as a great interfaith leader by the Cleveland Plain Dealer, even though by its own admission Abouabdalla barely speaks English (a translator was needed for his interview with Plain Dealer reporter David Briggs) and has a short track record as a religious leader in the U.S. (his most recent position was as part-time imam for the Islamic Cultural Institute in St. Clair Shores, Michigan). One element in the Plain Dealer's recent coverage of Abouabdalla's background that passes without the slightest bit of apparent investigation is the fact that he continues to serve as a faculty member of the Islamic American University (IAU) in Dearborn, Michigan. Of the 19 courses offered by IAU this summer term, Abouabdalla teaches 14 of them. IAU is a project of the Muslim American Society (MAS), an organization federal prosecutors just recently identified in a federal appeals court brief as being "founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States." The Muslim Brotherhood has been the breeding ground for virtually every single Islamic terrorist group in the world, and the vast majority of al-Qaeda's leadership has come through its ranks.

3010017171.jpgPervez Ahmed, announced his resignation of the Chairmanship of CAIR earlier this week. This interview and story in the Jacksonville Times Union perhaps gives the misimpression that whoever succeeds him will deal with the Muslim Brotherhood front group's aggressive stance in anti-American propaganda and 'appeal' to younger Muslims here in America. From our experience, CAIR has run roughshod over our Constitution and was identified as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy land Foundation retrial, about to begin this September in the Federal District Court in Dallas. Further, CAIR has formed a strategic relationship with the ACLU to combat alleged 'racial/religious' profiling by local law enforcement agencies all across this country. It has demanded and been given the opening to present so-called cultural diversity courses to these same law enforcement agencies. And, it has aggressively sought high visibility 'dialogues' with local law enforcement and national groups like the FBI and DHS, all to intimidate them. CAIR has raised the threshold of controversy by pushing "Islamophobia" in a thinly disguised attempt to muzzle 'free speech'.

amd_turkey-protest.jpgA tip of the hat to Patrick Poole who sent me this article on the fascinating NYPD undercover operation to identify local Jihadi wannabees in the Big Apple. This is the saga of a Bengladeshi Muslim undercover cop who infiltrated these groups and reported on their activities. It is a cautionary tale. The revelations support that Mosques in New York City and doubtless elsewhere in the US are centers of Jihadi development. We know that because three of the Fort Dix Six perpetrators, due for a Federal trial in Camden, New Jersey, shortly, trekked to Brooklyn to get stoked by extremist Imams. We have written about that, here. Then there is the fundamentalist Islamic Thinkers Society and their notorious public US flag burning, support for overthrow of our US Constiitution with Sharia and manipulation of our laws against us. While this New York Daily News article perpetuates the 'leaderless networks' paradigm of former CIA psychiatrist Marc Sagerman, we cotton to the comments of NYPD Intelligence chief, David Cohen, who supports our colleague Joe Shahda on the importance of shutting down terrorist websites that provide training and indoctrination of these New York City Jihadi wannabees. Note his comments:

capteaa88f92d65443c8ba0f018a733d757fturkey_us_consulate_attack_ist106.jpgSix Jihadis engaged in a suicide attack on the heavily fortified US legation in Istanbul, three security guards and three assailants are killed in the shootout. Watch the news video on the attack, here. The media immediately jumps to the conclusion that it was an al Qaeda assault. Not really. It was pretty amateurish. Al Qaeda alleged perpetrated the bombings of the British legation and a Jewish synagogue a few years ago. That's a mistake, Why? Because several of the assailants were Turkish. Turkey is in the midst of a struggle between secularists of the Kemalist school with Islamists, including those in the ruling AK (Justice and Develoipment) party of President Gul and Prime Minister Erdogan. Fundamentalist Mosques have spread through the country. Women are being intimidated to wear sharia compliant head scarves and appropriate attire. Honor killings have occurred in country communities where the AK party has large numbers of followers. Turks feel aggrieved about the EU not accepting this Muslim nation. They also feel that the US has supported the restive Kurdish minority across the frontier in northern Iraq where the Turkish military has periodically attacked the 'terrorist' PKK bases located there. So, my hunch is that what we saw in Istanbul was a terrorist attack by Turkish fundamentalists. Bystanders reported seeing the men with long hair and beards, a tipoff.
