2020 Census

The U.S. Department of Commerce is including a question on citizenship in the 2020 Census and the leftist outrage circus is already having a meltdown.

Let’s make this very clear: There’s nothing wrong with making sure legal citizens are accounted for. Did you know that the Census determines not only how federal funds are allocated, but also how Congressional districts are drawn?

That’s right. So, if you’re for fair and equal representation, then you should support a question of citizenship in the 2020 Census. Non-citizens should not be counted in the Census, especially since it risks funding for legal, law-abiding American citizens

Dear Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross,

I am writing to thank the Department of Commerce for including a question on citizenship in the 2020 Census. Whereas the Census collects information of the number of people living in the United States, it is critical to have accurate information on American citizens. This information will directly affect not only how federal funds are allocated, but will also impact the drawing of Congressional districts. For the reasons of fair and equal representation, I welcome the use of a citizenship question in the 2020 Census.

Sincerely,
