The recent Supreme Court Roberts decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard abolished affirmative action as a legal practice, yet allowed an exception for military academy after the Biden nominated Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar asserted an argument, without qualification, that the military requires a ‘diverse officer’s corp’, ultimately allowing military academies to continue selection for diversity over merit!
The U.S. military has embraced Critical Race Theory’s ‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’ (DEI) biased program that aligns with Marxist and anti-capitalist ideologies, claiming their aim is to foster a more diverse and inclusive environment which will improve military readiness. This initiative operates under the framework of a suspended Constitutional Law, which otherwise enforces zero tolerance for discrimination based on various factors such as race, skin color, sexual orientation, creed, or religion.
Maintaining military readiness, cohesion, and morale hinges on avoiding the demonization of soldiers based on their skin color or sexual orientation. Discrimination undermines unity and teamwork, posing immediate harm to our armed forces. Allowing such discrimination undermines the very fabric of our armed forces and places their unity at risk. Perpetuating such divisions within the military would erode trust, weaken teamwork, and hinder overall effectiveness.
Our soldiers and officers have committed themselves to upholding the Constitution, and as such, they deserve the same Constitutional protections they have vowed to defend. Prioritizing unity, equality, and merit-based principles is not only essential for a strong and functional military but also for upholding the core values that our nation stands for.
A recent survey found nearly 7 in 10 active service members believe the armed forces are being politicized and that this would affect whether they encourage their children to enlist. Indeed, this discouragement has already taken root!
We have allowed our top military leaders to fully implement a Marxist devised DEI weapon designed for maximum division, deconstruction, and transformation of our military as a hyper-partisan, taxpayer funded institution that works against our US Constitution, our capitalist system, and the American people, focusing on a cultural revolution in lieu of providing for our national defense!
We must urgently banish DEI, Critical Race Theory, and all discriminatory practices that undermine our military's strength, rebuilding our U.S. Military's reputation as the foremost global force to deter potential adversaries like China and Russia.
