An Open Letter to President Trump

We support your efforts to make our nation safe again.

    President Donald J. Trump
    The White House
    1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
    Washington, DC 20500

    Dear Mr. President,

We send this letter at a time of growing lawlessness, terrorism and unrest – both around our country, and around the world.  You were elected last November because the majority of American voters are confident that you are the leader our nation needs at this time in history to address these distressing matters: a President who is not afraid to cast political correctness in the garbage, and who is strong enough to make the difficult decisions required to make America safe again, and return it to greatness.

We urge you to stand firm when it comes to the important national security policies on which you campaigned, and that the American people elected you to implement, particularly the following issues:

    Refugee Vetting

We fully support your efforts to temporarily ban refugees from targeted, dangerous areas around the world – until effective policies can be put in place to keep our nation safe.  Further, we support the implementation of strong vetting policies, so that those who wish to do our country and its citizens harm are prevented from accessing our shores.

    Support for Law and Order

We have been watching law and order degraded throughout our nation for years – including gang violence, disrespect for our law enforcement communities and, most recently, attempt to squash free speech by groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

We have always proudly supported those in our community who put their own lives on the line to protect our citizens and our democratic freedoms, including our state and local law enforcement, and certainly our men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces.  We stand with you as you continue to make sure that respect for law and order is re-established in our nation, and that the men and women of law enforcement and the military have all they need to safely continue to protect us all.

    Defending our Borders

Protecting the borders of our nation from those who wish to do us harm – or who break our immigration laws – is of great importance to us.  We urge you to never back down from your promise to BUILD THE WALL, and to ensure that our federal government achieves their most important constitutional responsibility, to protect U.S. citizens.

    Defeating ISIS

We support your efforts to allow our military to do all they can to protect us by defeating ISIS and all other affiliated Islamist groups who share its barbaric ideology.

Designating the Muslim Brotherhood a Foreign Terror Organization

The Muslim Brotherhood is the oldest Islamic terror organization in the world and has served as the “mothership” for jihadists for almost a century.

While we fully support the Muslim Brotherhood Terror Designation Act, legislation that is pending in both the U.S. House and Senate, we ask that you use the power provided to you as President of the United States to bypass legislation and take this long-needed and important action against this terror-linked group.

We reject the views of those that are urging you to “go soft” on the Muslim Brotherhood and we encourage you to stand strong and join with Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, who have all already taken the important step of declaring the Brotherhood as a terror group.

We must not waste any more time on this matter!  Our continued timidity on this matter will only allow this dangerous group to continue spreading terror and violence across the globe.

Thank you again for all you are doing to Make America SAFE Again.  Please never back down from the promises toward this goal that resonated with the majority of voters across this great nation, and that made you the 45th President of the United States of America.

    Sincerely,

An Open Letter to the U.S. Congress

It’s time you get to work.

Senator Mitch McConnell                               Representative Paul Ryan
    Majority Leader                                                Speaker
United States Senate                                      United States House of Representatives
S-230, The Capitol                                           H-232, The Capitol
Washington, DC 20510                                   Washington, DC 20515

Dear Majority Leader McConnell and Speaker Ryan,

We send this letter to you, as representatives of your respective bodies in the U.S. Congress.

Last November 8th, the American people sent a clear message to those who represent them in Washington, D.C.:

We want leaders who are not afraid to cast political correctness in the garbage, and who will be strong enough to make the difficult decisions required to make America a safer place to call home, and restore it to greatness once more.

So far, we have not seen any of that change from many of those who represent us in the U.S. Congress, particularly with regard to national security issues.  All we have seen is more of the same:  A lot of talk.  A lot of excuses.  And a lot of criticism against our 45th President.

We’ve seen everything except action. This is unacceptable.

We want sound national security legislative policies enacted and enacted now, particularly regarding the following issues:

    Refugee Vetting

We fully support President Trump’s efforts to temporarily ban refugees from targeted, dangerous areas around the world – until effective policies can be put in place to keep our nation safe.  Further, we support the implementation of strong vetting policies, so that those who wish to do our country and its citizens harm are prevented from accessing our shores.

These matters must be addressed by the U.S. Congress now.

    Support for Law and Order

We have been watching law and order degrade throughout our nation for years – including gang violence, disrespect for our law enforcement communities and, most recently, efforts to squash free speech by groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

We have always proudly supported those in our community who put their own lives on the line to protect our citizens and our democratic freedoms, including our state and local law enforcement and certainly our men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The United States Congress must do a better job of demonstrating that it is working to return law and order to our nation; and that it opposes groups that seek to undermine our constitutional freedoms, especially through the use of violence, like Antifa.

Specifically, Antifa must be designated as the domestic terrorist organization that it is.

    Defending our Borders

Protecting the borders of our nation from those who wish to do us harm – or who break our immigration laws – is of great importance to us.

We fully support President Trump’s efforts to BUILD THE WALL.

All requested funding for the wall and any other border security initiatives that are needed at this time must be appropriated immediately.  We have not forgotten that the primary duty of those in the federal government is to protect the nation and its citizens.

We won’t turn our backs on this.  BUILD THE WALL.

    Defeating ISIS

We support President Trump’s efforts to provide our military with what they need to defeat ISIS and all other affiliated Islamist groups who share its barbaric ideology.

We expect the same from you.

Specifically, we expect our legislators to call the enemy by name: Radical Islamic terrorism; and to provide to our military with the means to eradicate it from this world.

Designating the Muslim Brotherhood a Foreign Terror Organization

The Muslim Brotherhood is the oldest Islamic terror organization in the world and has served as the “mothership” for jihadists for almost a century.

We fully support the Muslim Brotherhood Terror Designation Act, legislation that is pending in both the U.S. House and Senate.

The legislation has been pending in your respective bodies for years. The United States must join Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and declare the Muslim Brotherhood as a terror group. Our continued timidity on this matter will only allow this dangerous group to continue spreading terror and violence across the globe.

The Muslim Brotherhood Terror Designation Act must be passed through Congress now.

We respect President Trump as a leader who has rolled up his sleeves to get to work on the promises he made to the American people during last year’s campaign.

He is clearly ready to do so.  Are you?

We will be watching over the coming months to see if the policies the American people have clearly demanded are enacted.  If they are not, you can be sure that the voters will speak loudly at the ballot box next November.

    Sincerely,

    Muslim Brotherhood

Did you know that Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Syria, and the United Arab Emirates have all designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization? Yes, these are all Muslim-majority countries. America should follow suit and has the opportunity thanks to Senator Ted Cruz’s and Representative Mario Diaz-Balart’s proposed legislation, the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2017 (S.68 and H.R.377, respectively).

On November 24, 2008, a federal jury in Dallas, TX, convicted five leaders of the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) charity for providing material support to Hamas, a terrorist group. The US government provided evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood set up the HLF with the intent to fund Hamas. Even worse than the Holy Land Foundation donating $12.4 M to terrorism is that the Muslim Brotherhood’s goal is to destroy Western Civilization from within.

A federal judge also listed the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim Brotherhood front group, as an unindicted co-conspirator in the HLF trial. CAIR’s president, Nihad Awad, is a professed Hamas supporter. With Muslim Brotherhood groups in the US, like CAIR, it is clear we must designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. Please call your Senators and ask them to sign on to the bill as cosponsors.

     Back the Blue

On this historic weekend, we remember those who risked their lives in response to the 9/11 terrorist attack. Police officers are our brothers, sisters, neighbors, and are woven into the fabric of society. In 1955, the Los Angeles Police Department adopted “To Protect and Serve” as the official motto of its Police Academy. There are many instances of these officers risking their lives to protect and serve us, and we should back the blue.

Norbert Ramon is a 24-year-veteran of the Houston Police Department. During hurricane Harvey, Ramon helped rescue 1,500 victims from the fatal floods. He did all of this despite having stage 4 colon cancer, which spread to his liver and lungs, and despite being given 6 to 8 years to live. Similarly, Officer Gene Taylor – Monroe County, MI – risked his life to save a 14-year-old girl. The girl ran onto railroad tracks, while a train sped towards her, and Officer Taylor pulled her to safety.

These police officers are both heroes and there are many more like them in communities all across America. These men and women put themselves in danger on a daily basis, and truly live by the motto of “To Protect and Serve.” Like the 9/11 terrorist attack, we must never forget the bravery of officers, like Ramon and Taylor.
