FBI’s Catholic Spying Scandal: Grassley Exposes Wray’s Lies and SPLC’s Bias

Former FBI Director Christopher Wray lied to Congress, claiming the 2023 Richmond memo was isolated, despite evidence of a bureau-wide operation involving 13 documents, multiple field offices, and over 1,000 employees. The Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) biased “hate map” fueled this targeting, violating First Amendment rights.

Grassley declared, “If people that lie to Congress aren’t held accountable, it encourages more lies.” Catholic leaders, including William Donohue, condemned the “grotesque violation.”
