Act for America chapters are groups of activists who work together to educate and train citizens to recognize and help prevent criminal activity and terrorism in the United States while preserving civil liberties protected by the United States Constitution. As an Act for America chapter leader, you will have the opportunity to build a strong activist network in your community, plan and execute activism initiatives, help fellow citizens get registered to vote, lobby for change in your state and federal governments, and inform your peers about the importance of our national security. You will enact meaningful change within your community. Each ACT for America chapter, is an independent, volunteer organization, neither a division of, nor an entity controlled by, ACT for America and agrees to act in accordance with the Official Policy Statement. No. Neither ACT for America nor its chapters are allowed to support candidates for elections. The organizations purpose is public policy advocacy and development—in particular, the identification and advancement of ACT’s goals at the federal, state, and local level.
ACT’s Federal Government Affairs department advocates on behalf of the policies we support. ACT is an advocacy organization that trains and mobilizes citizens to speak out for the adoption and implementation of strong and effective national security policies.
