Chip Roy (R-TX), the bill mandates proof of citizenship for first-time voter registration, requires photo ID to cast ballots in federal elections, bans ranked-choice voting in federal races, requires auditable paper ballots, strengthens voter roll maintenance, and overhauls mail-in voting by prohibiting universal mail ballots, requiring ballots to be received by Election Day, and banning third-party ballot harvesting. These commonsense measures aim to make it easy to vote but hard to cheat, restoring confidence in our electoral process ahead of the critical 2026 midterms.
