State Legislation Watch Dog Team

What is ACT for America's "State Legislation Watchdog Team"?

The State Legislation Watchdog Team is a group of ACT for America activists who track legislation on the state-wide level to assist in ACT for America's mission of passing meaningful national security related bills on the state level. As a member of the State Legislation Watchdog Team you will be asked to track legislation in your state and alert ACT for America or "Submit a Tip" when a national security related bill is introduced in your home state - profesional ACT for America staff members will handle the rest!

Does being part of ACT for America's "State Legislation Watchdog Team" require a large time committment?

No, being a part of our watchdog team does not have mandatory hours or time constraints. You set your own hours! But remember, the more work you put towards tracking legislation in your state, the more effective our efforts will be. Your action has the potential to make a difference!

How will I know what to focus on?

As a member of our watchdog team, you will receive a monthly newsletter from ACT for America's Director of Government Relations with updates, priority topics to look for, and tricks of the trade. We want to make this process as easy and streamlined as possible for you!

What type of issues does ACT for America support or oppose?

As the nation's largest grassroots national security organization, all of the bills ACT for America supports or opposes on the state level must be related to national security. Here are a list of example topics:

  • Female Genital Mutilation / Honor Violence
  • Illegal Immigration / Sanctuary Cities / Border Security
  • Constitutional Rights (Free Speech, Etc.)
  • Law Enforcement
  • Israel/BDS
  • Terrorism Prevention
