Tell Congress to Support The Mobilizing Against Sanctuary Cities Act
Take Action (Step 1 of 2)

The Mobilizing Against Sanctuary Cities Act introduced by Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-3) makes a state or local government ineligible for federal financial assistance for a minimum of one year if it restricts or prohibits an agency or official from the following:

  1. Communicating with the responsible federal immigration agency information regarding an individual's citizenship or immigration status
  2. Maintaining or exchanging information about an individual's status.

Such governmental entities are known as sanctuary cities or jurisdictions. The Mobilizing Against Sanctuary Cities Act restores assistance eligibility upon a Department of Justice (DOJ) determination that the jurisdiction no longer restricts or prohibits such access.

The DOJ shall determine each year which state or local jurisdictions are not in compliance with immigration requirements and report such determination to Congress.
